The Band Nautical was named and formed by Stephen Strickland (Sticky) while
living in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in the summer of 2000. While originally made

up of various musicians, in time, the band's line up changed as Steve
started recruiting his old music buddies from his hometown of Port aux
Basques, Newfoundland.

The band's main foundation is made up of Stephen Strickland (lead
vocals/rhythm and bass guitars), Ryan Pearce (lead guitar/vocals) and Derek
Walters (drums, guitar/vocals) and their solidarity has held fast these past

5 years. Past members still come back to join the boys on stage and are
still a part of the brethren that makes Nautical, what it is. They include
Ian Webb (bass guitar), Todd Pearcey (drums), Mark Osmond (bass) Travis
Musseau (bass), Brock Seward (bass) and Trent Delmont (drums).

With all of its members being from the Port aux Basques area, Nautical has
become an established rock band on the southwest coast of Newfoundland and
has played that area frequently between May through to December of each
year. The Energy behind this band is as strong as the brotherhood that makes

it, due in part to the members growing up together. They do what they love
and love what they do. They are proud of their accomplishments and are
excited about being involved in the come home year celebrations for Port aux

Basques in late July and early August of 2005. They are currently writing
and recording material for their first C.D. and have recorded a song for the Come Home Year Celebrations. To hear a sample of the song, click here.
